Ouch! My poor sewing machine. I think I may have killed it! I attached a new foot and everything just went "kaput" :(
I don't know what happened but, I just dropped it off at the shop to be diagnosed.
Meanwhile I have 2 sewing projects on hold and that's causing me nothing but frustration.  GRRR.
I think I need a backup machine!

These are such pretty little birds...
This Goldfinch was pollinating my hibiscus tree before it bloomed.
(It's a little hard to see him as this was photographed through a window)

And this lovely boy enjoys the feeder in our pear tree.

Coronado State Monument

Native people first settle Kuaua, a Tiwa word for "evergreen," around AD 1300.
The fertile land near the Rio Grande helped create a flourishing pueblo.
The earthen pueblo was excavated and reconstructed in the 1930s by WPA workers. Mural segments were preserved and are open to viewing in the mural room of the visitor center.

The visitor center also contains prehistoric and historic Indian and Spanish colonial artifacts.
The monument site also has ramada-covered picnic tables with a magnificent view of the Rio Grande.
Coronado State Monument is just minutes north of Albuquerque (off of I-25, exit 242) in Bernalillo.
